The Kootenay Resilience Festival is more than just an event; it’s a movement that harnesses the power of creativity and connection to inspire collective learning, forge powerful relationships, and develop innovative solutions for a sustainable future. This festival is a testament to the belief that through music, enlightening talks, and delicious food, we can drive critical action towards a better world. In this post, we would like to show the August 20th presentation

Pioneering Renewable Energy Solutions

On July 20, the second event in this four-part series, the Energy Expo, will shine a spotlight on renewable energy and decentralized systems. This expo is set to showcase groundbreaking solutions that aim to enable Kaslo and surrounding bioregional communities to transition off-grid. Attendees had the opportunity to explore various renewable energy technologies, including micro hydro, geothermal, hydrogen, solar, and wind generation.

But it’s not all technical talks and demonstrations. The Energy Expo delivered on a weekend filled with great music in the picturesque Kaslo Bay Park. People came for the weekend to enjoy the beautiful lake, explore the charming village, and immerse themselves in Kootenay community atmosphere.

The Energy Expo featured performances by Creek St. Collective and Railtown which ensured that the event was as entertaining as it was enlightening.
